Low AMH (anti-Müllerian harmone) is a medical condition that affects women’s fertility. AMH is a harmone produced by the ovarian follicles and is used to estimate the ovarian reserve or the number of eggs remaining in the ovaries. Low AMH levels indicate a reduced ovarian reserve, which can make it more difficult to conceive naturally.
The primary symptom of low AMH is difficulty getting pregnant. Women with low AMH levels may also have irregular periods or no periods at all, which can be a sign of hormonal imbalances.
